Graduate Certificate in Gerontology
Admissions

All participants in the Graduate Cerificate Program in Gerontology must be officially admitted by the Graduate School. Applications for admission to the Graduate School must be accompanied by a $40 application fee, which is non-refundable and will not apply against the general registration fee if the applicant enrolls. A printable application form may be obtained HERE, and must be received by November 1, 2006 in the Department of Off-Campus Classes.

In order to be admitted to the Graduate Certificate Program in Gerontology, applicants must have obtained a baccalaureate or graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States with requirements for degrees substantially equivalent to those of this university, or from a foreign institution with comparable requirements for the degrees. Students must meet all graduate school admission requirements:

  1. Minimum GPA of 2.7 on all coursework attempted prior to receipt of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education; or
  2. Minimum of 3.20 GPA on last 60 hours of undergraduate work.
Transcripts
It is the responsibility of applicants to request from each college or university which they have attended two official copies of their academic record including all courses, grades, and credits attempted and indication of degree(s) earned. Refer to instructions on page 2 of the application for admission for further information. A printable application form may be obtained HERE.
