Study of the effects upon communication of normal aspects of the aging process. Changes in speech, language, and hearing functioning are identified; common alterations in communicative disorders commonly associated with advanced age are discussed.

This course focuses on social work practice with, and policies for, older persons. Current, past, and future practices and policies across systems and the life course are explored.
