The University of Arkansas School of Continuing Education & Academic Outreach, College of Education & Health Professions, & the Arkansas Department of Workforce Education present Competency-Based Teacher Development (CBTD)
CBTD is a Web-based program designed to provide teacher education skills for employees working in the vocational-technical school setting, two- or four-year colleges, and vocational or occupational education centers. The program is developed to be compatible with the Arkansas Department of Workforce Education Professional Development Program for vocational/technical schools & for those who are seeking a four-year bachelor’s degree in teacher education from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Vocational/technical education employees in non contracted schools may also use the CBTD program for educational certification, professional development, or along with other requirements, as a means to achieve a bachelor’s degree in teacher education. Employees of contracted schools who desire may also move beyond the vocational certification level and pursue an undergraduate teaching degree through the program.
